The staff were friendly.

Not a safe hotel. Constantly made to feel unsafe by the homeless population that frequents the front of the building and often will be inside the lobby. They will grab at personal items, be intoxicated, and some even stay in the hotel when they get enough money. The first night I arrived there was a woman screaming at 3am until the RCMP came and arrested her. The property is gross and is more like a homeless shelter than a quality stay.

No staff to clean up the room

Well appointed room with comfortable bed and bath tub, with good clean linens. The property was well located, had a handy independent restaurant which was open long hours, in the associated mall. There were several other smaller restaurants offering interesting ethnic cuisines, and a scratch bakery which is a must visit. Staying indoors was especially important considering the frigid outdoor temperatures. Front desk staff were businesslike, but very helpful. I especially appreciated their helpfulness when my airline departure ended up being delayed a full day, and I needed to stay an additional day.

Sound proofing was poor between room and especially the hallway. Some patrons were loud and needed to be controlled, which was recognized by security. My visit was during Aurora viewing season, so guests were out and about at all night hours.

Staff were nice, and accommodated my special request for the booking, which was very appreciated. Overall, enjoyed the stay and would stay here again.
