Centrally located, so walkable everywhere Reception staff were friendly and accomidating. House keeping offered free a wake up service at 7 am weildng their noisy carts up and down the hallway.

room had stale smoke smell and was hot - thermostat did not cool it down.

It was very hot everywhere in the hotel and even having the air conditioner on and window open all nightdid not lower the gear below 24 degrees.

Downtown Yellowknife has, as most cities now do, a fair number of unhoused people who tend to gather in this area. Unfortunately, that means garbage gets strewn about and so on. The hotel has security guards on duty, and I never felt unsafe. Just remember when booking, the hotel is in the downtown area. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. The location is good in that it is within walking distance to Frame Lake, the Legislature building, the museum and dining.
