Great sized apartment with everything you need in a great location.

The windows were only single glazed, so it got very noisy at night. The shower pressure was horrible.

Great location, minutes from many restaraunts and qaint hotels and bars. Close to a good range of shopping. Walking distance to many of the major tourist attractions.

Difficult location for taxis and tourist operators to find, whilst front door pick ups were promised most parked one or two streets away as they wouldnt come up a busy street to our apartment and we had difficulty to go find them. One taxi dropoed us at front door when we firected him...dont know why the others found it too difficult.

Marvellous location right in the heart of the action does come with the downfall of noise , was expecting it being above a pub but it was the noise of bins from as early as 5.30 that was a surprise . The flat has most things but needs more hangers 4 isn’t enough for 2 people for 4 nights . Might help to have some hooks put up on the back of doors . The towel rail although heated .. wasn’t and we could find no way of turning it on so we’re left drying towels over the chairs in the kitchen . Also it would help if the knob to the bathroom was easy to turn but its proximity to the door frame meant we couldn’t open the door from the inside once shut! Would be better with a lever type handle. Minor things really but if addressed would make the stay more pleasurable . On the positive side the Welcome pack was a nice touch and the shower was very good !

The location. Very near to Princes Street and easy access to Edinburgh main attractions, cafes, eateries, groceries, buses, trams. Walking is mostly easy.

My worst experience ever! There was NO rubber mat in the shower area. I fell during shower on my first day due to slippery shower area(with NO rubber mat)and dislocated my left pinkie finger!! Luckily after awhile, I managed to put it back. After I informed the customer service and requested for a rubber mat, the next day it was provided. This could have been avoided if a rubber mat was placed in the very beginning before I checked in. Really unnecessary accident to me, and my finger is still swollen after 6 days, the day I checked out. No courtesy visit from the owner or Altido management, only send apology email. I realised from past review,one guest has given the same feedback about a slippery bathroom floor!!! It looks like the host/management DID NOT take this feedback seriously!!! Because I fell in the bathroom while taking a shower. PLEASE WHOEVER READ THIS REVIEW. DON'T STAY IN THIS ACCOMMODATION ESPECIALLY APARTMENT 7 ! DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE AREA WITH PICTURES OF CAFES. THE LANE LEADING TO THE MAIN DOOR TO THE APARTMENT BUILDING IS REALLY BAD,INFRONT OF GARBAGE BINS!! THE NOISE FROM CONSTRUCTION ROAD WORKS WITH DRILLING IS LOUD AND STARTED REALLY EARLY IN THE MORNING. FLOOR SQUEKING,TENANTS ABOVE YOU WALKS,YOU CAN HEAR THEIR STEPS. APARTMENT SHAKES AND VIBRATES EVERY TIME THE OTHER TENANT ABOVE YOU OPERATES THE WASHING MACHINE. Customer service didn't give the right instruction on how to operate the kitchen hood/hob. Apartment 7 was shaking whenever the above tenant operated the washing machine. We could feel the vibration during the spin. As for the beds/mattresses, there are 2 single beds that are attached together to make one double bed! One mattress ia flat and I have backache every morning when I woke up. Backlane a bit noisy due to some construction work!
