Anchor Inn by Greene King Inns

We were walking the SWCoastal Path and the Anchor is ideally situated for a nights stay before walking onto Lyme Regis. Plus its right near the beach!

Excellent location The staff were a great team but Barry & Ilsa were phenomenal in working above and beyond and running around in the heat and not stopping for a second to keep the large volumes of customers happy - great choice on the menu that included choices of potatoes and vegetables which is not often seen nowadays - big credit to the kitchen staff who again worked hard in those temperature and delivered large volumes of great decent food

Room on the 3rd floor was baking hot - the fan supplied was not a circulator and was not gear at all - windows didn’t open wide and all in all a very uncomfortable nights sleep - I understand no air con in a building of its age but at least one decent circulating fan would help and some spare for as and when and if the weather does get warm

No parking, water wasn’t warm enough. Cold shower in the morning. Evening water warmed slightly

Room needed updating. Too strong an air freshener smell. Service at breakfast not great.
