Telscombe Cliffs Bed and Breakfast

The owners were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and spacious. Comfortable bed.

The price. For£130 per night we expected a lot more, it was more of an air b&b than a hotel or b&b. Breakfast wasn't what we consider a continental. It was a piece of cheese and a slice of ham, a Greek yoghurt and a bowl of cereal and a scone or crumpet. No croissant! Shower was a bit small.

The view on the balcony of our room was beautiful especially at night with the stars out and the bed was very comfortable. Perfect place to stay for visits to Brighton or just long walks along the cliffs and sea! Even in crazy winds. This B&B is different to most and you know what I think it is a good thing. Both owners were very helpful when asked anything at all.

The lack of clear details about what the B&B is like. According to a friend it is a very old style way of doing a B&B because it is in the owners home which I have never experienced before. For me I felt like we lacked the privacy we would get from the stereotypical hotel style B&B. But I tell you honestly it was a really lovely stay, totally different to what I know, welcoming, relaxed and very homely. I would visit again! It just takes a little getting used to. Perfect for short stays. At first I felt a little uncomfortable but after the first night and getting to know the owners we relaxed much more.

I liked the small veranda attached to the room, which does have a sea view, very pleasant to sit out there and have a drink. Breakfast was good, parking was perfect, we had easy access to buses or you could walk x

The steep staircase was difficult for elderly people.
