Had a great business overnight at the Vinoy and the people, ambiance and experience was phenomenal. The staff was welcoming and upgraded me and held on to my luggage despite an early morning arrival. The ambiance and surroundings were welcoming and refined and the suite was spacious and a mix of modern and cozy. The only down side was not being able to stay longer.

We had dinner in the seafood place. It was very bad! Cheap diner style atmosphere and bad taste. The bathroom of our 700$ room was dirty with dealings around the shower

Very nice property with staff who works hard but not efficient. Had dinner in Pauls Landing at the hotel. Probably one of the worst food experiences one can imagine. No atmosphre, may be like a cheap diner, and food dried out with no or terrible taste. After talking to manager she credited one of the 2 returned dishes....that´s all? Paid almost $ 700/night for the room......never again.....rooms are dated and moldy.... mold and dirt especially in the bathroom........is that Marriott style? Place needs much more QC and supervision.

The resort is very nice has a nice lobby. Spacious rooms that are well appointed , good restaurants, the golf course was nice also and service good. They charge a resort fee however you get bike rental, pool access, and a few other gimmicks to make you feel good, however I didnt use any of the items so for me it's a charge I wish I could have been given the choice to pick. When you charge $500 a night for a regular room similar to any other Marriott etc.. you shouldn't have to pay an additional resort fee. The parking was non-existent unless you choose valet which is another $45 dollars. Street parking is limited to 2 hrs so can't do that. I didn't find public parking on the property. Everything else is on the high side pricing wise. I dont know if it's just the weekend we were there but a great majority of guests had their dogs with them , whether large or small, i don't particularly like dogs everywhere around me at dinner, in the lobby in elevators or in a hotel room, there are places for dogs and places that can do without them. I fully understand owners wanting to travel with their pets, but in such a high-end resort, keep the dog at the kennel or home. The golf was nice, the course we'll manicured, easy layout , very busy and reasonable pricing. It's worth it for a one-time gig to try but not worth a repeat.
