Terrific historic property. Really charming, historic vibe. Location is outstanding - easy stroll to all the restaurants and shopping. Helpful staff. City parking garage about .4 mile away, if don't want to valet. Great location for strolling to restaurants, coffee, ice cream - evening is lovely. Don't miss the Dali museum.

"Scary Incident! Man entered our room without warning!"

We stayed at the Vinoy on Saturday, June 28th and an unauthorized person entering our room Sunday morning!! I was laying in the bed watching television and heard the door open (no knock or announcement by this person whatsoever). My friend was changing so it freaked her out, and immediately jumped up to see a uniformed man starting to enter our room! He then backed up, apologized and closed the door. We immediately reported this to the front desk and they sent a security person to come check our door to see whose key was used. We were told we would receive a follow up phone call that day on what happened, but of course we didn’t. I have sent them two emails asking for answers and no one bothers to reply and explain this troubling incident. I am very disappointed in what happened here and how it was handled. This should not be happening at any hotel, but especially not the Vinoy… and no one in management even cares!
