Dorchester Hotel

The hotel is very nice only thing is the ice machine didn’t work but other than that excellent stay great staff great location and definitely will be staying again

I really liked this charmer. We had a one-bedroom apartment, and these units are behind the main building in a courtyard around a burbling pool (not the swimming pool) with white lights strung up at night. Each unit has a little porch. I sat one mine until 1 a.m. enjoying the warm breezes. It was so tranquil. The apartment was really big and everything was in good condition. I could live there. The location was great on Collins near a lot of hangouts. We walked a few blocks south to Taco Taco and Bar Collins (Loews hotel). The service was good and the location is super convenient. We didn't go tot he restaurant, but it looked like a great little low-key spot. Very casual and colorful, with plastic tables. The hotel lobby is well decorated in tropically chic style. The room wasn't the same style, but it was updated. A room overlooking the street might be noisy. We only heard noise in the morning when the staff and other guests started stirring. The building are concrete, so noise echoes. I"m sensitive to noise but it didn't bother me. The parking lot is super convenient. It was $30 and you can park for $10 for 24 hours in city-owned garages, but this was convenient when we had to run back to the car for stuff we forgot, like a phone charger.

Stayed at Dorchester Hotel April 22-23 from my perspective was grossly misrepresented by reviews. The room we stayed smelled awful and the air conditioner was making vibrating sounds all night that made my sleep almost impossible. Moreover, we were checked in late past 3 pm and did not give extensions for their early checkout 11 am. Front desk named Isabel was not helpful and same with the lady at the beach whom I asked if I can seat for awhile at the beach loungers at the second rows to take pictures. this beach personnel has the audacity to say a resounding ‘no” immediately saying we can only seat at the back, back, while I saw a couple immediately sat in the front rows in front of me immediately From the hotel whom she assisted. she even told me that that portion was not part of Marseille which I doubt because the umbrellas have the same Tan and white colors which an attendant said weee marseille and Dorchester’s. awful stay, but some service personnel were great helping us with our luggages. And the bar personnel were also very customer oriented.

Finding parking in south beach can be a nightmare and Gabriel is always there willing to provide his valet parking service which is exceptional and worth the price. I will continue to park here every time I go the beach.

This hotel met out expectation. We knew when booking that we couldn’t expect luxury, but we chose this hotel because of the location and the cheap price. (Note: cheaper booking through their website) Rooms were clean, location is great and we felt very safe as we noted the receptionist was checking security cameras constantly. The walls are quite thin, but when a guest played high music late at night we called the receptionist and he made them stop the music. Big shoutout to the receptionist Otis for making our stay 10x better! He met us with a smile every day and we had a fun chat every time we met. He made sure we were satisfied and safe, the sweetest guy ever and he handled any situation like a champ. Xx from your Swedish sisters!! We’ll be back in a year. Giving 4 stars as we weren’t disappointed, but I only give 5 stars when my expectations were exceeded. :)

I stayed there in January 2023 with my 3 kids. Old room and smelly. Bath tube broken. Door did not lock from inside. Only a few channels on TV. My daughter woke up with bites on her legs, shoulders and back. I did not care very much. In the next day I woke up with bites on my belly and both legs. My sister in a different room had bites too. New spots first thing in the morning. Very suspicious... I was told we would get a refund, and all we got was a $50.00 dollars discount. I told the manager I would write a bad review, and his answer was: I don't care. Horrible costumer service.

The room was big and kitchen well equipped. The room was not clean it was very dusty it seems like the cleaner don’t know how to clean. The customer service was terrible we extended our stay for one more night but it was such hassle to sort things out. We left our things medication in the fridge after we checked out and we came back for them within 30 min but the customer service told us they have thrown everything away. I don’t believe this because everyday I was there they came to clean very late in the afternoon. We wanted to use the toilets the customer service could not allow us to use a toilet they told us to go to the neighbors. Who will treat a customer who has spend 6 nights in their hotel? Very disappointed with the customer service.

It had a very topical feel to it. Small, not to loud. Perfect for a get away, but very close to all bars, restaurants and beach.

The front desk staff was always so helpful with any requests or questions. The rooms are spacious and clean. I will surely return to the Dorchester Hotel again.
