Wakefield Inn & Restaurant

Amazing building circa 1804

This is a lovely bed and breakfast, with a small but very good restaurant, in central NH. We were looking for a safe, quiet spot to stay in for a nearby wedding, and Wakefield Inn was just right.

Wonderful historic 200 year old inn. Wide Board floors, hand hewn beams, multiple fireplaces. Nicastro family inn keepers and excellent chef, delicious breakfasts and Italian menu in the restaurant.

What an amazing place! This was my first time at a bed and breakfast, it was fantastic!!!!

We had a very pleasant stay in the Tibbetts room, very quiet and relaxing, we especially enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace in the room. Staff was very polite, the only issue was that their restaurant was completely booked for the entire evening when we arrived so we did not have a chance to have a dinner there and had to look for other options (and there are not that many around, especially during COVID times!). It was a bit surprising that they would not offer a side table (we asked!) or in-room dining for us (our room was literally behind the wall from their restaurant!) knowing that we are guests that actually stay in the inn! So I would recommend they have a table or two reserved for their actual guests in case they want to have dinner (or offer room service). Other than that - it was a very nice and positive experience, especially during the foliage time!

The Wakefield Inn is a lovely period inn located about 20 minures from Wolfboro. Our room was large with a woodstove which had an ample supply of wood for our use. All the toiletries were top notch quality. The bed was oh so comfy. Surprisingly the leaves were still full of color and the drive from the Inn to Wolfboro was beautiful. Included was a madd to order breakfast that was delicious abd served in the restaurant with a huge 3 sided fireplace. This would be absolutely perfect in the winter.The Inn was quiet and though we were the only guests (we were there on Wednesday) the owners made uh s feel invited. I would highly recommend this Inn.

It was relaxing stay with historical building. Nice to see some history of New Hampshire. We enjoyed their tasty dinner and breakfast.

I like the history of the inn and how it related to its decor

Room was beautiful. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was updated with a walk-in shower. Dinner was delicious with large portions. Breakfast was included and off a menu. Had the Bacon, egg and cheese omelette. Again large portions and delicious. Would definitely stay again. Price was very very reasonable for all they offer.
