Staff were attentive. The hotel was wuiet and efficient.

Room 404 was near a corridor - lots of guests walked through the corridor and the noisy corridor door closing was annoying.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed that upon arrival, we would normally receive cookie biscuits. For over 12 years we always received So we were a little bit down.

Good location for what we needed. Good pool. Good bar. But drinks very over priced

Our room had a smell. And I didn’t think it was good value tried to change room or pay for an upgrade but nothing was available.

We chose this hotel partly because I'd specifically checked accessibility in advance for a friend with mobility issues. The honest answer is: don't rely on what you're told. The breakfast area and spa are reachable, but the routes are convoluted and far from straightforward. The accessible showers are not fully accessible because there's a step. The shower also ran cold mid-use before reheating. Housekeeping was poor. Dirty plates sat in the corridor outside our room every single day. On Saturday 23rd May they were there all day; by 9pm the smell of food waste was noticeable. Disabled parking bays were hard to find and full on every occasion we tried to use them. Charging guests with a disabled badge for hotel parking feels mean and corporate. None of the three chargers I tried at the front worked. Others appeared to be Tesla-only. The rapid chargers nearby seemed to be reserved for pub patrons rather than hotel guests. But the real problem is the bays themselves — they're far too narrow. With other EVs parked either side, there's not enough room to open the charging hatch wide enough to get a cable in. The result: we couldn't charge overnight, drove 15 miles the next morning looking for a working rapid charger that actually worked, trickle-charged at a Lidl for an hour, then called roadside assistance. We lost an entire morning of our break. I know the chargers may not be the hotel's direct responsibility — but they're on your premises and promoted as a facility. There's no complimentary water in the rooms and during our stay there was significant noise from a wedding reception, causing us and other guests to complain due to having a sleepless night. The attitude from all of the reception staff I dealt with was lacking in empathy and seemingly any care about guests. Overall, a shabby experience and very, very poor value for money.

A nice grand hotel, set in a good location. Only £8 uber from the center if going out. The room was nice and the breakfast was lovely. The pool and facilities were great!

Would have been nice to have tea n coffee facilities and water in the room
