Papaya Guesthouse

Located above the mountain. Where you can walk to Hikes easily. Center of the island so it’s easy to go visit the north and south of the island. Really enjoyed staying here. It’s a family ran affordable housing. Once you walk in you will be greeted warmly by the mom who will make you feel at home and give you all the information you need. Jimmy her son Waldo does tours and transport and i highly suggest to do st least one day your with him as he knows every spot to see and experience Seychelles has to offer. The whole family really works hard and goes out of their way to help you and to make sure you have a good experience in Seychelles. We are very very very impress with our stay at the papaya house. It’s more than just accommodation it’s an experience of local hospitality.

Location, It’s a bit elevated place than sea level and no crowd. I love to walk around especially with lots of greenery around. No luxurious stuffs, but a perfect studio kind of apartment i that suits my feeling of wanting to be alone, with sounds of rain, and birds. Plus a very homely host Madame Mariyan.

I had to wait longer than expected for my pickup service from airport to the stay.

Excellent location in the hills above Victoria. Easy to get to all places on Mahe. Well kept and comfortable villa. Family atmosphere. Friendly people - home away from home. Close to reliable and regular bus. Papaya and coffee!

Very peaceful accommodation, 10’ from Victoria and the hosts are amazing! Jimmy arrange a tour around Mahé with a lot of hidden gems at a good price. Also Mary offered us to wash our clothes if nessecery. We had a blast!😁

very nice owner who cares about customer satisfaction. A typical house gesture, but also probably the cheapest on the island. You can use the kitchen, access to fresh water. Coconut as a welcome treat. Very nice view from the room
