We accidentally booked the wrong location as we had an overnight layover and wanted to be close to the airport. When this was noticed, the hotel staff offered to switch the booking to the closer location. I called the hotel and asked for the airport shuttle to pick us up, we waited for almost one hour for the shuttle and when I brought this up, the driver blamed us for the wait time. We heard some other guests calling in to the hotel at one of the other stops with the same concern. When we arrived at the hotel, they didn't have our booking; so I called the original hotel to inquire about the transfer, the number on the booking email no longer was available, so I found another number on google that finally worked. The staff who answered told me that the transfer was to their sister hotel that had a different name and that I should've looked it up myself. How was I supposed to know this information? The staff was very rude to me and again blamed me for the indiscretion. We had to then order an uber to get to the correct hotel which by this time was already midnight (we called for the shuttle around 8pm). Upon arrival at the hotel, the staff was very understanding and helpful, however the hotel was a dump. The elevator was not working and we had to carry our 6 suitcases by ourselves up the 2 flights of stairs, and back down again only a few short hours later to get back to the airport. We were just so grateful to have a bed to sleep in, however, the hotel was dirty and smelled of weed, the floor in our room had some kind of greasy film on it and we had to wipe it down with a towel in order to just stand on it without slipping around. It was smelly. The free breakfast was only fruit (bananas, oranges and apples), yogurt and juice and coffee (the coffee tasted so old). We are easy to please kind of people and we absolutely did not enjoy our stay.

Location was my only plus to my stay.

One particular front desk employee was too busy on her cell phone to assist me. There was no hot water on bathroom sink. No iron and no extra blanket on the bed. Furniture was stained several places including the walls. Ice machines were out of order except the 1st floor. This hotel used to be the Green Tree Hotel. SONESTA has really dropped the ball.

Biting mosquitoes in room, no hot water for my two night stay.
