Hôtel Joal Lodge

Repetiria aunque solo fuera por el personal del hotel. Fueron super atentos, me hicieron sentir como en casa. Me ayudaron en todo lo que necesite. Y luego ademas la comida estaba muy rica. Me parecio bien ubicado para luego ir dando un paseo hasta la isla de las conchas.En la terraza de arriba se estaba fenomenal a pesar del calor que hacia. Habia sombra y siempre soplaba el aire del oceano, al menos los dos dias que estuve yo. Resumiendo estuve muy a gusto

Por mencionar algo que igual se podria mejorar… a veces sale poca agua de la ducha, con poca fuerza… pero vamos , que tampoco fue un gran problema.

Really nice place, helpful staff, free parking. It's close to the beach, very quiet place. Homes are big enough and pretty :)

Not the best food, but it depends - once it was bad, once it was really good. Water is not running all the time, but they have a barrel full of water in which you can take a bath :)

I had such an amazing stay at Hotel Joal Lodge.  The welcome from Samuel and Ndeye Awa was incredibly warm. I cannot stress enough how kind and helpful and friendly they were. They gave excellent advice about the area and various sightseeing options, sorted my cabs, recommended special Senegalese dinner options (always delicious), and even invited me to share lunch with them whenever I happened to be around at the time.  My room was large, with really cool decor (pink walls, giraffe print bedding, bamboo/ thatched ceiling, pebbled concrete, stylish light fittings), and the shower was a dream for hot water and pressure. A/C worked great too..  The grounds of the Lodge are nicely manicured, the pool was refreshing, and there is a really nice semi-covered roof terrace that offered amazing sea views. The area is also a birdwatcher's paradise.  The Lodge is a 5-10 minute walk to Fadiouth island, 10 minute drive to the Sacred Boabab tree, and 30 minutes drive to an entry point to the Sine-Saloum delta.  Merci beacoup Hotel Joal Lodge for the fabulous visit!

The beach itself wasn't for me (bit too much rubbish and too many stray dogs) - but the pool and views from the oasis of the Lodge more than made up for this.

Awa and Samuel were very nice and helpful. We had amazing food! Great service
