Friendly staff (hi Samuel!), good food on the upstairs terrace with a view on the sea, working A/C, they put me in touch with an excellent driver who charged a fair price, quiet (maybe because I was the only guest :), Wi-Fi was working I think, warm welcome and farewell, excellent value for money

I don't recommend the hotel-appointed guide (Pedro/Bouba) for the islands. You can get one for cheaper at the tourism office. Actually you only need to *pay* for one, you don't even have to go with them. It would be nice to have an outlet or power strip in the room to charge devices, something to block the gap under the door (for mosquitoes), and a small water in the room would be appreciated. Minor things, mostly I had a great stay at Joal Lodge!

We went here for the second time, that shows how much we like it here. Friendly vibe, I think this place is suitable for solo travellers as the management is very involved and always around. The pool gets cleaned, I swam in it every day.

The hotel itself is so nice. There is a lovely pool and a fromager tree which u can climb. The beach is ca 15 mins of walk and is just gorgeus. The owner is really kind a the rooms are lovely.
