Extended Stay America Select Suites - Chicago - Naperville - West

This property was very disappointing. It's an Extended Stay hotel but is not set up for anything of the sort! There are no extended stay amenities except for a 2-burner stovetop. But there are NO pots, pans, dishes utensils, silverware or even a stopper for the kitchen sink! It was not clean or well maintained. Many areas of the room, hallways and exterior were in disrepair. There were people smoking pot down the hall. There is no one at the front desk for customer service off hours. The front desk was locked with a security curtain most of the day. We won't be back to this or any other Extended Stay property!

I didn’t like anything about that hotel. It was a non-smoking and people smoked all over that hotel they steal there’s cockroaches there and the staff doesn’t go into your room and clean up at all or give you a change of towels. I was there for two weeks not once that I see a staff member coming vacuum my carpet I did it. I asked him for the vacuum cleaner cause I couldn’t take it anymore And they’re not cheap for two weeks. I paid close to $1700. They stole two jackets of mine and two brand new hoodies plus my insulin and charge me an extra day of $80 when the hotel room was paid for in full just an awful place I called corporate and they did nothing about it. As a matter fact, they hung up on me three times and they took them over three weeks to get , any answer do not book a hotel at extended stay they are just awful

What could’ve been better is they could clean the room, not stole not throw away my insulin and not charged me for an extra day

This was one of the worst hotels or extended-stay I ever stayed in. There were cockroaches in the room they stole my food, threw away my insulin that cost $700 per prescription. They stole my brand new winter jacket, my brand, new Carhartt jacket, and two hoodies, they charged my room an extra day when I wasn’t even there, I already had been checked out, when I spoke to the manager, they were rude not helpful at all. They said to call corporate and when I asked to speak to the manager there, they just said you’re speaking to them I would not recommend going there at all. Never change the sheets they never change towels. They never went in there and clean the room. I had to do that all myself , they were rude to my girlfriend that was out of state to check on me. I called the corporate office they hung up on me. They did not seem like they wanted to help her get to the bottom of the situation of my stolen items. My thrown away medicine, I had spent about $180 worth of food and they threw away like it was nothing without even telling me, the most horrible hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I travel a lot for work. I do not recommend going there. The rooms are filthy filthy filthy, and help is lazy lazy lazy

The property was quiet and peaceful. However, my room smelled like a locker room.

Worst hotel I’ve been to. First room they gave us had a huge black mold spot on the bathroom ceiling. They tried to give us another room but my girlfriend was having issues because of the mold. We asked for a refund and left with in an hour of being there. The guy at the front desk said I’ll get a refund but the systems were down and to call back in the morning. I did so and was told to contact hotels.com. Once I did the representative contacted the hotel and they denied my refund, saying they did not know I checked out early. I have audio recording of the conversation I had with the front desk the night I left. In which he states the systems were down AND I’ll have my refund. I also have pictures of the mold.

Room was dirty and smelled musty, water stains all over the ceiling, carpet was stained, appliances rusty, no silverware or cookware, laundry facilities broken. Drug dealers in the parking lot day and night, front desk clerk rude and not helpful.... told me when I asked if I could switch rooms "if you want a different room you should go stay at another hotel". Stay far away from this place!!

The room was not clean. Tge refrigerator was old and ruted on the inside. The cabinets were dirty and dusty. Floor was dirty, curtains had stains. The rooms next door and across the hall were loud. The police had been called on someone staying there.
