Clarion Pointe Alachua - Gainesville Area

The rooms were outdated, dirty and falling apart. The rug was so dirty that our socks were black on the bottom. Terrible experience.

The dark haired tall woman “room service” (possibly Indian descent ) extremely rude and went into my room 2 days when I didn’t want room service and threw away the $50 in food we bought to have easy access during our baseball tournament and had no remorse when brought to her attention. Also went to ask for towels after they took them from my room the early morning and never replaced them and she basically called me a liar saying I already had them replaced. Sorry but I have a torn Achilles and I didn’t walk up there for something I already had, which I didn’t. Very rude woman. The older gentleman was very nice and apologetic

Front desk assistance was great. Very friendly & extremely helpful. Quiet and very relaxing. Breakfast was good but limited on food to choose from. Not a bad stay considering the great rate offered for stay. Overall, I'd give it 3 1/2 stars and would recommend for short stay.

There was little to no hot water to shower. There was no in-room coffee. There was no grab bar to enter the shower / bath tub. The refrig & microwave worked well. There were no donuts or eggs or healthy cereal at breakfast. The breakfast started at 6:30 & should start earlier, if there is no coffee in the room.

Nothing, really. The staff was friendly, but that's all.

The hotel ( in my opinion this doesn't even deserve a motel rate) is falling apart. You can't even judge how clean the room was ( the bedding did seem clean) just because it's in such a bad shape. The shower looks so bad, that I really wasn't even sure if I wanted to take a shower:( would absolutely not stay in that place again, unless they fully remodel.
