The Academy Hotel Colorado Springs

The staff was very friendly and location was optimal

Extremely outdated and did not match the pictures. The beds were lumpy, and shower gels were used. The room was also dirty and did not match the price

Breakfast was nice. There was a coin-operated washer and dryer which was very handy.

The television did not work and they said if it could not be fixed by tomorrow we would have a brand new room. They did give us a new room the next day. We also were happy to get the new room because it was not as noisy. The previous room was very loud because it was located close to the pool.

Nice staff

Rooms were not clean, hair in floor and tub in bathroom. Room smelled bad. Breakfast included was horrible, sausage and bacon ran out. You had to pay for an omelette...cheese were included in breakfast 6 months ago. This stay was definitely not worth what we paid!!!

Rooms need updating, but the location to major attractions is the main reason for booking this hotel.

Furniture in room dated and lots of scuffs on walls.

Location is perfect if you're visiting the Academy. That's the only good thing about this hotel.

The hallway smells like trash and pot. There's no housekeeping services during the stay and overall it's just dirty. You can't count on having dinner at the restaurant because they close without reason.

I love the 1970's vibe. Everything is very open. The breakfast buffet is very good.

I wish it didn't feel like the original dirt from the 1970's our room was beyond filthy. The full length mirror & TV hadn't been dusted in at least a week & those were the two cleanest things. It's too bad we stayed there about 10 years ago and it was a much different experience, that's why we came back. We remembered it from 10 years ago. Now we will remember it for different reasons.

Close to the freeway and attractions.

Indoor pool. Very loud lobby.
