Pool area not maintained, stairs leading there are damaged and the women lockers/ change/ shower area have a very bad smell and really run down. The room was quiet but when attempted to use the plug behind the bed noticed a large amount of dust. This place needs renovation improvement in facilities and a deep clean up plus add on of facilities: sauna, hot tubs, add ventilation to pool areas, the change and shower area. Plus is not accessible for people with disabilities.

Beautiful hotel in a good walkable location to many sites. Entire staff went above & beyond to make us feel extra special during our 40th anniversary stay. We only told the front desk the celebration purpose of our visit, yet everyone on their staff knew and went above & beyond to pamper us.

Perfect location for the canal, market, Parliament, shopping and dining. Matthew K took great care of us and it was a wonderful stay.

I had an excellent week staying at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier on the Gold Floor. I enjoyed the breakfasts and the evening canapes with a glass of wine. I used my Accor suite upgrades and they booked me in a wonderful corner suite with a memorable view of the Parliament buildings and the park. In particular, I give a shout out to Kevin in the Gold Lounge who chatted with me each day he was there and Angela, the Gold Concierge and the housekeeper who retrieved something I left behind and arranged to have it couriered to my home arriving a few days after I was back (understandably, I was happy to pay for the courier charge). I'll be in Ottawa again next year and of course will want to stay again on the Gold Floor...it was memorable hospitality in a memorable setting, thank you Fairmont staff!
