Great walk in snorkelling

El lugar, su personal, su dueña Miss Dilsia quien siempre estuvo pendiente de que todo estuviera en orden. La comida es excelente y a buen precio. Vale la pena, tiene de todo para pasarla bien y su piscina es hermosa. La verdad no había escrito esta reseña porque no encontraba las palabras perfectas pero si se te cruza este hospedaje no lo dejes pasar.

no es que no me gustara pero el tema del horario de la cocina para la cena ya que hay que ordenar antes de las 5:30 porque se retiran los cocineros lo cual es totalmente comprensible.

The reef! An incredibly beautiful reef to snorkel right off the end of the dock, with a stunning dropoff wall maybe a couple of hundred feet out. Friendly and helpful hosts and staff and fellow guests. Modest but clean and comfortable room, and delicious home cooked meals. It is quiet and relaxing, with no honking taxis to dodge and no vendors to bother you. A really genuine island experience away from the crowds and close to nature. And very affordable. The hosts will arrange any kind of excursion or activity you want with reputable and friendly locals. The focus is on diving and fishing, and they invited me to tag along on the dive boat and snorkel. It was incredible snorkeling, and they didn't even charge me. Snorkel gear is available to rent for $15 if you don't have your own. We will return!

Only that we didn't book a few more days here this time. Ok.... They could use a WiFi extender to cover some of the rooms better if I were to find something to nit-pick. Maybe add a fish and fries option to the menu

The Reef House is a gathering place for the community. Expats and locals come and go throughout the day and evening. You are immediately included in the family of staff, visitors and locals. The owner and manager make you feel welcome. The ladies in the kitchen cook great food. The man-made saltwater pool is a great place to relax on a floaty or snorkel. Night snorkeling was amazing. You can also swim out off the dock and snorkel the reef. It’s a beautiful spot away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist side of the island.The people and the beauty make up for the amenities that may be lacking for some. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, but it’s quite rustic and bare bones. A/C worked great.

My stay at the Reef House was exactly what I wanted. It has the old Roatan charm to an old dive shop that has the most welcoming staff I have ever met. From the owner Davey to Keith the IT/Bartender and the friendliest cook staff that makes great down home cooking. David the dive master has been out on the reef longer than most have known about Roatan. He knows some really cool places to see.
