Disgusting, Overpriced, and Zero Accountability This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I booked the Travelodge by Wyndham knowing it wasn’t going to be luxury — all I needed was a clean room. Instead, I walked into a nightmare. We were price-gouged at $675 a night (during an IU game weekend), when the normal rate is around $54. Outrageous! For that kind of money, I expected at least basic cleanliness. Instead, when we opened the door, we were hit with a foul odor so strong it made the entire room unbearable. The floor was disgusting — after walking across it, my white socks turned completely black. The baseboards were filthy, the curtains were dusty, and there were random hooks left on the wall from where a picture must have fallen off. It was clear the room hadn’t been properly cleaned in ages. When I complained to the front desk, I was met with a dismissive excuse: “Oh, there was a dog in the room prior to you.” That’s it. No apology, no offer to fix it, nothing. They were sold out, so switching rooms wasn’t even an option. To make things worse, the hotel refused to respond to Booking.com despite repeated attempts on my behalf. No calls answered, no emails returned. They simply ignored everything. For nearly $700 a night, this was a filthy, foul-smelling room with zero customer service and a hotel that clearly doesn’t care. Avoid this place at all costs.

Friendly staff at check in. Lots of places to walk to - restaurants & shopping. Quiet room. A/C worked perfectly & wasn't noisy. Shower floor hurt my & my husband's feet.

Terrible. Will never stay here again. WAY over priced for what you get. Even if it was parents weekend. Obvious that the hotel hosts long term residents. Very gross. Never ever again. Stay away!

The hallways were filthy. Not sure when the last time they were cleaned. Room smelled like smoke despite being a non smoking room.

The linens were clean (which was KEY), but there were several areas of improvement that could enhance a guests stay. The lamps were not plugged in, one of the bedside lamps did not work, the outlets kept shorting out so using a hair dryer was challenging. The staff was VERY friendly and nice!

I do have a couple of notes, simply run down, I felt that the pics that I looked at online before I made the reservation, didn’t quite align with reality. The physical property is a bit run down (no big deal there), I will say the location is nice. The room, it is dated, odd, the light had the chord wrapped around the top of it (so not plugged in). The tv, I had to hook it up to get it to turn on, odd. When it came to the service, the second day, they knocked to see if I needed anything, when I said, just one towel, it was if they didn’t understand me, and they needed to come in and reset the towel situation. I will say they were very nice. Look it wasn’t terrible, the bed was comfortable, it was just had to fix up the room so I could have light and a tv.

The room has one light by the door and two pen lights on headboard of beds. The refrigerator made it sound like we were in a wind tunnel all night.

Room was OK but the bed was horrible it was like sleeping on a rock. The small fridge had busted places on the side of the plastic liner around the door. TV was small.

This place was, hands down, THE worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The room and hallway stank, the bedsheets were dirty, ‘breakfast’ (if you can call that)
