Clear View Inn Independence

When I first arrived I was not greeted. I was told to “hang on I have other things I’m working on “ and the receptionist was rude period.I waited 25 min in the lobby before I was able to check in. The bedsheets had stains in them, the room smelled like dust and cigarettes there was not any towels and the pool was closed. We just ended up using the room for us to get ready for our concert once the ve very was over we grabbed out stuff and checked out that same day.

Room wasn't ready when we got there, even after cleaning it still felt dirty, two of the four of us came away with bed bug bites and are not concerned we brought them home, tv didn't work, and the whole place smelt like marijuana the entire time. This is a no go, even on game day.

This hotel was not up to Choice hotel standard. There were so many things wrong. I don't know where to begin. #1. Staff at front desk couldn't find my reservation. Took 30 minutes to check at 3am in morning. #2. People milling around property at 3am in the morning. #3. No bath towels in room except for a used one on the door. #3a. Staff on duty couldn't replace or provide towels. #4. Not adequate lock on the door. #5. Bath room the size of a tiny house. #6. Bath tub had stains and burn marks all over it #7. Like I said too many things wrong.

drugs, dirty rooms, trash bags in breezway, broken windows, lamps, dirty and used soaps and shampoos.

This place was terrible. The whole place was dirty. Smelled like weed. First room we were given wasn’t ready when we checked in. The second room was dirty and nasty. We got a refund, left and found another place to stay. We weren’t the only ones there that had issues.

Not clean, stains on sheets. Definitely not what was advertised.

The place is a mess, trash everywhere, dog poop, bird poop, the exterior is rundown and dilapidated. The bathroom tub was stained, there was inadequate water pressure to take a shower, the door to the bathroom didn't close, my son and I got bug bites from sleeping in/on the beds. The room was definitely smoked in, despite the claim that it was a non-smoking room. The smell of marijuana was very frustrating--it permeated the small bedroom. There was NO breakfast provided, despite the claim that there would be breakfast served between 6-8 am. The receptionist made some coffee around 8:00 am and apologized for no breakfast saying the owner, who was supposed to set out the breakfast, neglected to do so. I would avoid this property despite the low price--it is a sad, sorry facility and I feel for the employees who have to work at such a place. This being said, it has a lot of potential--just needs some vigilance, care and raising of standards--it is inadequate at the moment but COULD be adequate or better with some effort and desire.

The door looks like it has been kicked in multiple times (framing was cracked and looked glued back together and the lock at the top was broken in half). The tv screen was shattered, but the maintenance man did bring in a different tv to set infront of the old one. The shower handle was broken. At first it went from lava hot to even hotter. Then the handle fell off and when we got it back on we could get the temp to manageable levels. Pool was okay, but pretty deep so not for small children who can't swim. On our last day here the pool had a danger pool closed on it though. As for the neighborhood it was definitely not the best. I really wished I had a more secure door. The front desk lady was very kind though.

It’s a good place for its price. However, it was noisy on weekends, and the property facilitate could be much better!

Dirty. TV broken. Remote sticky. Shower and sink drains clogged. So gross.
