"Can I get a response, please?!?!"

Our group stay at this hotel was extremely frustrating from start to finish. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were completely unprepared for our group, and we were forced to wait in the lobby for nearly an hour while they input information into the system and coded our keys. I had been in contact with the Group Sales Coordinator and the hotel front desk for over 6 months to make sure that there would be an efficient check-in process since we were traveling with 22 students/teenagers and arriving at night. The situation worsened on the final night of our stay. One of our guests discovered bugs in her room that appeared to be roaches. When she reported it to the desk attendant, she was told there were no other rooms available. Attempting to rest in the hotel lobby, she was then told she could not stay there and was effectively forced to sleep outside in one of our vans at 3 a.m.—an unacceptable and unsafe situation. To add to the frustration, I requested a receipt at checkout for business accounting purposes. The desk clerk told me to contact the group travel coordinator. Despite sending three emails and leaving two voicemails after returning home, I have still not received the receipt. I also spoke with two different individuals at the front desk, yet my request remains unfulfilled. Overall, the lack of preparedness, poor guest service, unsafe handling of a serious issue, and complete unresponsiveness to post-stay inquiries make this hotel unacceptable for any traveler or group. I would not recommend Fairfield Inn and Suites Atlanta South/Airport under any circumstances.
