My family enjoyed a wonderful stay recently at Regency Houston West. The hotel is lovely, with an atrium and koi pond. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We spent three nights, and felt well rested, and enjoyed exploring Houston, particularly the museum district, Fine Arts Museum, Children’s Museum and Hermann Park with amazing playgrounds and walking trails. The staff of the hotel took very good care of us. I will be coming back and recommending this Hyatt hotel.

"Guests Beware of BedBugs"

Very disappointing experience. During my stay, I discovered bed bugs in my room and immediately reported the issue to the front desk. Afterward, I had to spend additional money cleaning and sanitizing my clothes and luggage to avoid bringing the infestation home. What concerned me even more was that the front desk employee mentioned that this was not the first complaint of this kind they had received. I gave the hotel 24 hours to address the situation and discuss reimbursement for the cleaning costs, but no resolution was provided. I understand issues can happen anywhere, but the lack of urgency, accountability, and customer care afterward was extremely disappointing. Future guests should be cautious.

"Housekeeping needs an overhaul"

The front desk staff was amazing. Rhr decor, and beautiful mall koi gold fish-filled indoor “lakes” were beautiful. That’s what drew me back to the hotel, after staying a couple years ago, The housekeeping service was very slow. Waited 45 minutes for a shower cap. There was a damp musky odor in the room. The smell was in my clothes when I returned home. If the hotel gets the housekeeping issues corrected, I would rate it higher. I think it’s time to remodel the rooms

Beautiful hotel. Not a Regency, though. Too many quirks. The choi lake is gorgeous, and you feed the fish for free. Staff are really good and pool is nice. Only paper cups in the rooms and room service. Limited hours for room service - which is delivered in to-go containers and brown bags. No wine on room service menu at the one eatery providing room service food. If you don't get an accessible room, take a bath mat.
