Old style. Stuck in the 90’s it need to bring it back to 2026. For the price it felt short.

I have zero complaints! First encounter was with Mr. J Ruiz & he helped me and my wife out more than he knows and we chose this stay for our honeymoon. We found ourselves leaving the resort to try things in Puerto Rico and wound up finding out that staying on the resort is fine some days too if you have a long honeymoon like we did. The bbq buffet was delicious, the A/C was always cold in the room, the view was everything from the balcony and most importantly they honored our do not disturb sign lol. We had no troubles anywhere except for the casino I might add but I think it was more so of the guys at the blackjack table more than anything but that still did not take away from our experience at Hilton Ponce. There was a horse running around outside, plenty of birds and reptiles as well and they only add to the scenery, there’s a hot tub but I’d call it a lukewarm tub, but nonetheless Hilton ponce is a place I would stay again and you should for your honeymoon if you have multiple days. You can stay on the resort with your spouse and enjoy the things here volleyball the bar the pool the beach or you can travel like we did hit 4 cities and 4 beaches and always come back and enjoy the resort, no issues, great service, I didn’t speak Spanish but they still made sure I was taken care of!

There are not many options for staying in Ponce, and this hotel is likely your best bet, but to call it a resort is somewhat missing the mark. Yes, there is a golf course, and yes, there is a small casino, but other amenities fall short of a resort experience. To begin with, the hotel is laid out in an odd fashion and the ocean front rooms are in a tower that is a LONG walk from the lobby. Rooms open to an outside breezeway. To access the pool area and beach, multiple elevators are needed, as none go directly where you want to be. The beach is not that user friendly, especially with the huge amounts of sargassum that are currently washing up on shore. The pool area is fine, and there is a small playground for the kiddies. The room itself was spacious and clean, but in desperate need of remodeling. We stayed here 10 years ago and nothing looks to have been touched since. Upon entering our room, the toilet was leaking and fortunately, it was remedied very quickly. I read that renovations are planned soon and it's a good thing. One of the biggest disappointments here is the food. To begin with, on Monday and Tuesday, it appears that the only food option is the pool bar. This makes no sense, since the hotel is not near any other establishments and one has to drive into Ponce to find other restaurants. We arrived on a Wednesday, and the options were La Cava (the finer dining restaurant), a lame looking BBQ buffet for $34 per person, and the pool bar. We would have chosen La Cava, but the hotel had booked multiple proms, parties, etc. and we were informed that the first table we could get would be 9 PM. Not ideal for the 7 year old in our group, nor the adults. It seems to me that there should be some thought given to the guests staying at the hotel and not overbooking outside groups to make dining difficult. We opted for the pool bar, and found the food mediocre at best, overpriced for the quality, and minimal selection. Definitely more appropriate for snacking or lunch than a dinner. The next night featured the same bbq buffet, looking similar to the night before, but we were able to book La Cava. It was a lovely dinner, with genteel service and tasty food and wine options. Why this isn't available all the time, I don't know. One last mention about staff. Benjamin, the valet, was extremely helpful and cared for our luggage after checkout while we toured Ponce. The front desk folks were mostly all business and seemed harried at times. Overall, the property is nice but sorely in need of updating and improvement in food options.
