Scandic Atrium

Lovely hotel not too far from the train station. Very friebdly and welcoming.

Really enjoyed our stay! All the staff were friendly and helpfull. The bar staff had a good knowledge of beer and made really good recommendations! Overall really comfortable feel to the place, so we ended up staying a second night :)

The good: Pleasant staff, boss (and amazing) barista, well located The bad: The room smelled strange, the linen on one of the beds wasn't clean, there was what looked like a large patch of mold on one of the mattresses, one of the towels had clearly been used (and has been sitting there a while), the shower didn't drain, and this hotel lacks some of the toiletries that other hotels have (if that's a thing for you). Summary: Worst Scandic Hotel we've been in and sub-par compared to other "nice" hotels, but staff was great and it was manageable. It wouldn't be a first choice by a long shot, but there are worse places.

This hotel is located near the river which is the main artery of the city. Therefore, you can easily get to anywhere on foot. The room was clean and the bathroom was very nice with a lot of mirrors. There were some metal/glass doors between the corridors which were annoying if you had to carry a suitcase but otherwise ok. I was able to check in earlier as my room was already available so that was a great plus. There is also a nice sauna downstairs with a small pool. This was definitely a great facility and I was happy I could use it. The breakfast was also very nice with a lot of choice. There was also a choice to buy some essential items at the reception so another handy thing. The only thing that could improve would be the towel racks - if they were heated, they would dry the towels. The price of one night was also quite expensive so it might be a good idea to make it more affordable. All in all, I enjoyed my trip in the hotel.

Horrible room, the there was no sort of decent ventilation no ac it was a Sauna. Old, not tidy, pretty outdated. Getting worse year by year!

The location can't be beat. The breakfast is great. The staff is very attentive. The pool is nice and there is self-service laundry on site. It was recently purchased by Scandic and assume (as I have stayed in other Scandic locations) that much needed maintenance will be done. (lots of rust in the bathroom, wear and tear in the room so hard to clean, elevators not working consistently). I did not have my sheets cleaned during my 9 day stay so communication with cleaning staff needs a bit of improvement. There is no gym on site only a nearby gym with an expensive daily rate so the advertising needs to be updated. Also, make sure to ask for a room with air conditioning as only about half have it and already in May it was hot. I would still recommend it but ask for specific things you want.

Within walking distance of most historic sights; very good buffet breakfast included in reservation; staff very helpful. Disappointing that no coffe/tea making items in the room.

Great hotel with good rooms and decent breakfast

20 minute walk from Viking Terminal. NOTE: A BUS DOES PASS BY THE HOTEL. Efficient check in - we were very early, but they did accomodate us with a nice quiet room on the 5th floor at the back of the hotel, which suited use. Updated bathroom, with a single lounge chair and coffee table. Breakfast was plentiful.
