El Cid Castilla Beach

It only gets better with every stay at this hotel. The staff in the Elite office are exceptional and an absolute delight to deal with. They very accomodating and provide superb service in an efficient and always with a great smile. We were treated like family. All pre travel requests were promptly replied to and everything asked for were provided on arrival. Golf was great. The addition of the falcon bird control was very effective and entertaining. Can't wait to return.

Every employee at El Cid from the front desk, bell staff, waiters, and house keepers were super friendly and helpful!

My husband and I visited for a week the beginning of March, and we had the best time. We wanted a vacation for relaxing at the pool and on the beach and that is exactly what we got! The pool atmosphere was great, very clean and our pool guy/drink server, Paul Salas, was amazing. He was so efficient, and super friendly.,he always made sure we had what we needed! This beach front hotel is in a great location. I recommend getting an ocean view room because the view was wonderful. The buffet was great, alot of selection, always clean and fresh. We loved the lunch buffet which is open air atmosphere with views of the beach and ocean, with always fresh selections and always clean. If i had to complain about something, it would be, the bed was a bit hard for my liking, but that didnt ruin our time!!

We stayed at the El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel from March 2nd to March 12th. The hotel was very clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to Elite Club and let me tell you the staff at the elite were absolutely amazing. Any question or anything we needed they got it done. The food at most of the restaurants was really good, the only one we didn't care for was the Argentina Steak house, ( I think we are just use to Alberta beef) lol The food at the pool was really good and fresh, the bar tenders were really friendly. The entertainment at night was really good, the dancers were really talented and loved how there was something different every night. During the day at the pool there was always something going on, my husband ended up winning two bottles of tequila!! lol From check in to check out was smooth and quick as there was 15 of us. Don't let the 3.5 4 star rating fool you we have stayed in some 5 star hotels that don't compare to the El Cid Castilla. We would definitely stay here again!!!

We got extra perks because we booked through Expedia. The Al a Carte Restaurants were very good for dinners and easily booked through the Elite Club. We could go to 5 pools, but only 2 were heated. Great gym, beautiful pools. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Buffets were disappointing and the Pergola Restaurant was like a cafeteria, no atmosphere. Not much for evening entertainment.

I like the swimming pool area but the only good restaurant is La concha .

Wouldn’t recommend all inclusive food is horrible worse then cafeteria food And alcohol is plastic bottles manager yelled at a bartender for giving someone regular Jack Daniels instead of cheap plastic bottle whiskey. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone they treat everyone differently according to the color of your bracelet

El Cid Castilla is a top shelf resort, we arrived Feb 26 till March 12, it was an amazing 2 weeks. The room was clean, the atmosphere was welcoming. The staff is excellent and very accommodating, Francesco on the beach, Frank at that Activity center, Angelita around the pool, Sergio Rojo, Antonio and Ruebens in the dining room were all very professional and had a great attitude. The Golf Course staff was amazing as well, we enjoyed our trip very much! See you next year!!!
