Douche was wat klein.

Our room was actually a little cosy, clean apartment on a ground floor with spacious bedroom equipped with a comfy bed, decent size wardrobe, TV, kitchenette with a mini fridge and bathroom. Big plus for a full lenght mirror! Staff was very nice and attentive - we were welcomed by Joana and given the tour of the common areas (breakfast area, patio), the tips for local restaurants and places to visits and then guided to our room. Breakfast was really good - a lot of things to choose from, including crepes, jams, baked goods and fresh fruits; vegan options were limited, but staff tried their best to accomodate dietary needs, which we really appreciated! You can try and also buy local made products on site (like jams, teas and soap), which was a nice bonus and the room is stocked with a bottle of water (free, including refills), wine and some drinks (at an extra cost).

Not a real flaw, but if you stay on a ground floor, you have to keep in mind that the building is quite old and floorboards are creaky, so you'll probably hear other guests walking in the room above you. Also, there's a standard tv, not a smart one (or we couldn't find the right settings) - it doesn't matter for this review, just something to keep in mind.

La Casa do Jasmim non è un semplice hotel, ma parte integrante della tua esperienza a Lisbona. Si trova all’interno di un antico palazzo dell’Ottocento, restaurato per mantenere il suo fascino originale. Lo staff è di una gentilezza incredibile, sempre sorridente e pronto a dare consigli su attività e spostamenti a Lisbona. La colazione è buonissima e preparata con prodotti locali. In più, l’hotel si trova in un bel quartiere, centrale per raggiungere tutti i punti di interesse e servito da bus e tram. Per quello che riguarda la nostra esperienza, appena arrivati ci è stato offerto un upgrade di camera gratuito e ci hanno dato la camera al quarto piano. L’assenza dell’ascensore non ci ha pesato, soprattutto perché la camera aveva una vista meravigliosa sulla città e addirittura una terrazza sul tetto. Consiglio assolutamente questo hotel e il suo staff, che ringraziamo di cuore per come ci ha accolti.

Quiet and peaceful Close to so many great restaurants

We really enjoyed our stay here! Breakfast was delicious and generous, with a wide variety of choices—including some Portuguese options—which was a great way to start the day. We were lucky to have a room on the same floor as the entrance, so moving our heavy bags was easy. Rodrigo, Alessandra, and Iris were very helpful and understanding when our airline-delivered luggage was delayed, even accepting the delivery on our behalf. The hotel has the charm of an old town house with modern amenities, and our room even had a small kitchenette—a pleasant surprise, especially for a last-minute booking. Very much liked the aesthetic of our room and the hotel overall. While it’s conveniently located, be ready for some uphill walking in Lisbon, which is part of the city’s character. Overall, a warm, welcoming place that combines comfort, charm, and good service.

One thing to note: the property has narrow wooden stairs, which are part of its original structure and charm. They may be a bit tricky for some and could limit accessibility.
