Hampton Inn Chambersburg

This was our first stay at this Hampton and we were disappointed. Upon check in at 6 o’clock on 4/25 the person was all business, unlike the many other friendly and welcoming staff I’m used to. I had to ask for the two water bottles I receive as a Hilton Honors member. As she responded by handing me two battles, not in a bag, I asked about cookies but she said, “No cookies.” Apparently no treats for dogs either! The room was clean but there was only one chair so no where for my husband and I to relax. The baseboard was pulled away from the wall beneath the air conditioner. The ice machine on the second floor did not work. Breakfast was ok with typical items but located in a very congested area. However, at checkout the woman was sincere in apologizing and wanted to write down my concerns, which I appreciated.

Quite rooms on opposite side of the building from interstate. Middle floor and could not hear walking above.

Stay in the area to visit Mom and the place was great.

easy access with shopping nearby and interstate 81.

Michelle Burget General Mgr has a great team and great accommodations. Staff was alert and friendly. Breakfast was great and had great attention during the time spent there . Coffee and hot water available throughout the day. Rooms were very clean

This Hampton Inn was right off the Highway (2 minutes) tucked away by itself. The tucked away part is important because after being on the road for hours it was nice to stretch our legs on the quiet road behind the Inn. The check-in was easy. There was a military guy in front of me and was being helped by a wonderful host. After meeting his needs she invited me up. Claudia was every traveler’s dream. Her demeanor was humble and yet her attitude along with her civil manners carried an affectionate presence. She really wanted to help you! She listened, asked polite questions, gave me some alternatives to my peculiar needs. I know this sounds trivial because that’s what Hosts are supposed to do. But as much as I travel, Claudia demonstrated qualities of the highest standards and we are talking about the Hampton Inn not The Loutrel. The room she suggested was a perfect fit, clean and our stay was pleasantly restful. The Inn is a little dated but there were people working on keeping it clean. A gas station, a Giant grocery store and a Starbucks are within minutes of the Inn. It’s a Hampton Inn but one of the better located as well as run by people who seem to care about their business. Well Done!

Recently renovated, enjoyed our stay very much.

Overall the interior spaces were very well maintained and clean. It was quiet which I understand was due to our stay being during a non-peak time. Bedding was very comfortable. As with many contemporary lodging places, non-paid television selection is not very good. The breakfast food selection was good and well prepared. All of the juice selections were watered down which is somewhat unappetizing.The parking was convenient and plenty of it was available. The front desk personnel were very cordial and efficient. Housekeeping personnel were friendly, efficient at daily towel replenishment, and straightening up. I am a safety professional and I noted that the large spotlights on the outside of the building had been misdirected and a number of them were not working which made it somewhat inconvenient for parking near the back building entrances. As a whole, the facility was very adequate for our needs and the minor imperfections will not stop us from staying at this hotel again or referring others to stay there as well

Second time staying here. Had zero issues both visits. Staff is super friendly, breakfast is well stocked with lots of options and they consistently kept it filled. Beds are very comfortable (the most important thing for me), plenty of pillows. There are many restaurants in the area and plenty of convenient stores and bigger shopping needs. Will definitely choose to stay here again.
