Garner Hotel Provo South by IHG

3 night stay. First room had terrible stains on carpet, old a/c unit and a bed so hard and lumpy we had a terrible nights sleep. We asked for a better room. New room was clean carpet, newer a/c unit and more comfortable bed even though very firm and newer more comfortable pillows. They need to get those old rooms updated.

Breakfast was pretty good . i wish they had more coffee. seemed to run out quick

Not what I expected from a Marriott property. It was a Motel 6 in disguise. The bathroom light wouldn't turn on unless you fiddled with the switch. The TV didn't work. The overall ambience was dismal. I won't stay there again.

This hotel could use some updates. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was great but it is outdated.

This place was clean and the staff were nice. It is in a little bit of a noisy area but it didn’t bother me too much.

Our stay was very uncomfortable. We wanted a comfortable stay for the end of our trip so we booked Marriott but what a disappointment this place was! It was as if someone bought an old run down hotel from another chain and put a Marriott sign out front without permission. I’ve never visited a Marriott hotel that wasn’t wonderful, I was shocked! For starters, super small entrance. Like entering a cave. Tight door ways, low ceilings, thin halls, dim lighting. I checked ahead if pool & spa were open. Spa wasn’t filled up & was actually cold, ceiling in pool room was peeling, cracked and in need of repair. It looked like the room was being renovated but it wasn’t. The pool towels were empty. Thin walls, doors and windows. We heard people walking above us, noise from outside and in the halls. Old and small elevator, dirty and beat up. Our room door had to be pushed open with our body weight because it stuck so badly. Shower head and bathroom vent coming off of the wall. Mildew growing in bathroom corners and bedroom window sills. Gross! Our sink drained very slowly every time we used it. Our bathroom had only 2 large towels but our room had 4 people staying. The breakfast has a good variety however, the breakfast sandwiches had dried out bread, the omelets had dried crusty edges like they were reheated. The sausages were actually cold right out of the tray and the waffle machine kept clogging at the nozzle. The juice dispenser was out of syrup so only watery apple juice came out.

The rooms were dingy and needed a renovation. The soap dish in my shower was coming off the shower wall, and the hot water was sporadic. Thankfully, the room and lobby and pool area was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s not a great building.
