Due to major plumbing issues in our home, we wanted to get a room local just to get a shower and relax for a night and take a break from plumbing repairs. When we got to the motel, the computers were down and couldnt process card payments. They took a copy of my card and gave us our room key and let us get into our room, which was around 10 p.m. Thursday. We left to get a bite to eat and when we returned, around 11:30 p.m. we couldnt access our room with the key they gave us. I went to the office and was told there was an issue with my card which I used to reserve the room. My wife has a seperate card and account for her direct deposit paycheck. Her paycheck comes in every week between midnight and 12:45 a.m. on Friday. We explained our plumbing issues, which you could possibly smell and definitely tell we had been working on something dirty and needed showers and rest, we explained and showed the guy previous weeks, and the current pending deposit of my wifes check by providing her account and email verification etc. gave him both ID's which he copied, both our deit cards, which he copied, offered to give him the keys to our truck, and the title to our truck, to hold in good faith for approximately 30 minutes, possibly an hour until my wifes check became available to complete the payment for the room, that they HAD ALREADY LET US HAVE THEN TOOK AWAY FROM US. The guy was VERY judgementally rude, and automatically said NO with an added lie! When I again pleaded with him and explaining our situation, blatantly lied to us claiming, he" couldn't print a key card for us without full payment because the computer and keycard printer are connected and the computer wouldn't let the printer make a key card"!! I guess he forgot they had already printed us 2 key cards earlier when the computers were down and couldn't process payments!! When I pointed that out I guess it pissed him off because he had been caught in a lie.
