Good Size Villa. Good Main Pool

The hotel was under renovation, and the general upkeep around the property was poor with no atmosphere. The photos on Booking.com did not reflect what it actually looks like, and there is no mention of it being under construction. The fish pond in our villa was extremely dirty. The pool in our Villa was very small, and because of this was too hot to swim in. Luckily the main pool near the beach club was quite nice. Our Villa was close to the Beach Club, and was quite noisy, even from inside our room. The mini bar fridge was not topped for our entire stay (8 nights). Breakfast was included in our stay, but it was very ordinary. The restaurant was very basic with no atmosphere, and they did not have espresso coffee available. We ended up buying breakfast elsewhere every day.

Villa was beautiful with private pool

I arrived to an empty lobby, only 1 other villa seemed to be occupied and the main hotel was under construction, which was not made obvious when I booked to move from another unsuitable hotel. No phones in the room so to contact reception for any issues I had to use Whatsapp (imagine if I had an emergency as a solo traveller 😢) and room service was unavailable from 3pm onwards....also not mentioned when booking. Staff were scarce, as were other guests. This is a beautiful resort in an exceptional location, beach front in Seminyak. However the lack of amenities and resources along with the noise from the construction works was a huge disappointment. Only when I delved into the description of the resort and clicked through the headings did I see ANY mention of the construction. The FAQ'S state " there is a restaurant at the Royal Beach Seminyak Bali. It will be open during your stay" which is not the full truth. The renovations have been ongoing since at least 2023. The villa itself was amazing, everything you would want!....private pool with a huge bedroom, separate lounge area and kitchen room. I spent a total of 2 hours in the villa before leaving after contemplating my needs vs. the lack of amenities, forfeiting 1 nights accommodation cost.

Staff... though very limited...they tried real hard to make our stay comfortable Location...exceptional location Room sizes...though the villas are in a poor maintenence condition..the sizes are good

Property very old.....Totally under renovation... No Dinner...no lunch....no buffet breakfast No Gym...no indoor activities...Should have specified that they are under renovation so we could have stayed elsewhere

Staff including housekeeping, front desk and manager were all exceptional. Cool location.

Main pool, villa pool and location

It’s only 3 star. Which is unfortunate. We have stayed at this property pre-covid when it was 5 star. The villas have had a face lift but still dated. The villa gardens hadn’t been tended to like they used to be. The breakfast that was included was terrible, we went elsewhere.
