Good location, comfortable bed.

Stains everywhere, salty and smelly water in the bathroom. No amenities available, pools are now apart of a beach club and not for resort guests. Very limited staff, food options. DEFINITELY NEED TO REVIEW THE 5 STAR RATING

Beautiful property, unbeatable location, staff seemed friendly, you can enter through the beach club which is convenient.

A little dated, some areas are still undergoing renovation so they seem rundown. MANY mosquitoes

Facilities are dated, renovated disabled many things for us.

We've rented a villa with one bedroom . The villa was fantastic , the garden is even more beautiful, it was like a zen garden, the pool and the sun beds were amazing as well. We liked a lot the authentic music we've got , it made our stay thsre very special. Thank you for thinking about every little details, it was a very special stay there.

We can't say anything we didn't like ..

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of February. I originally booked a one bed ocean front villa but we had to move due to noise from the beach club and 2 rats falling out of the ceiling at midnight on our first night! We moved to a large 2 level, 2 bed, 2 bath villa with a private plunge pool - but without ocean views or ocean breezes- on the second day. The one bed villas are spacious and have a separate kitchen space but no cooking equipment or any utensils or any cleaning equipment. The two bed villa had no kitchen space but did have upstairs and downstairs kettles and Nescafe/tea with powdered creamer. No washing machine was provided in either villa. The Sunset Beach club occupies the entire beachfront area in front of the villas and also the large pool area to the side of the all of the villas. Numerous large speakers are hung in the palm trees near the beach facing villas and throughout the large swimming "resort" area. They blast loud music from 10am in the morning to 9pm at night. We were moved to one of the villas furthest away from these but you can still hear the music when lying next to your private pool. You are also bombarded by the noise at the hotel's restaurant, if you have breakfast past 10am. I normally really enjoy listening to music, am an audiophile and own tens of thousands of dollars of hifi. We heard no renovation or building noise during our stay. As well as the din from the club and the wildlife we had a couple of other, small problems with the neglected villa. These included luke warm "hot" water, smelly water, faulty curtains, sagging doors that were hard to close, exposed wiring, water leaks after storms, and an ineffective upstairs air conditioner. Despite all of this, the staff at the hotel were wonderful and Virni was always on hand to help quickly via WhatsApp. We had read previous reviews about the state of disrepair and were fully aware of the downgrade from former 5* status.

The One bedroom villa we stayed in was fantastic and great value. The space and the pool was awesome. ALL the staff were absolutely brilliant, they could not do enough for us. It will be fantastic when they get back to complete running and the hotel side has its repairs finished.

Unfortunately the dining options onsite were not great, as stated they are not completely open. BUT what they have is adequate and good quality.
