Park Lane Suites & Inn

It was quite at night in the inn and neighborhood, we could walk to some places to eat. My dad is 80 years old so the distance we can walk was short but the real cool downtown was just a bit too far. Overall it was a nice place for the money.

The air conditioning unit was a foot away from my bed and really didn’t cool the room down enough. It is a small room so two people walking around would be in each other’s way a lot. The walls are pretty thin so you can easily hear your neighbors conversation. The beds are spring mattresses not that big a deal, just more information for fellow travelers. Mentioned continental type breakfast stuff, only saw cookies one morning.

Outstanding stay from start to finish! The staff (Garrett and James) went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Every detail made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We truly felt cared for and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend.

The parking situation is very difficult. I guess I forgot this is a motel in the city and took the free parking feature for granted. The lot is small and narrow. It definitely does not have enough parking spaces for everyone. We vividly saw other guests feeling defeated and frustrated when they couldn't find a spot. Every night we were there, the lot was completely full. We had to cancel our evening outing the first night and chose rideshare the second night so we wouldn't lose our parking spot when we came back. Another issue is that the hallway light that automatically turns on around 8:40 pm was very bright, and the blinds on the window did not cover the entire window, which made the room quite bright at night. This certainly can be improved.

The location is perfect. One can stroll in the historic King$ Hill neighborhood and go into the beautiful Washington Park.

Some of the other guests were speaking loudly as my room was near the elevator and stairwell. Perhaps the judicious placing of signs reminding all to observe silence is in order. Small nitpick: the ottoman in my room was missing a foot, so ir was wobbly. Little things like this can make a space feel less than awesome.
