Ocho Rios Vacation Resort Property Rentals Penthouse

Eat at the place on the complex. My family and I enjoyed the selections for breakfast, Clean and very courteous staff. Prices were reasonable for Ocho Rios. The server at the bar was asleep at the counter, we had to wake her for service. The guy who ran the tuck shop did not have some of the food advertised. The manager was very knowledgeable with the many questions we asked about the resort.

The kettle had an electrical short and by 4th day died. The water pressure was very low, you could not take a shower in the morning. The handle on one of the clothes closet lost a screw and was hanging very unsafe.

Forcefully extorting funds from people. We are told to use the app to ensure security and safety, so I refused to give them my card details on a piece of paper outside of the booking.com app. They are now trying to extort 484.76 US from me after I left the hotel. 1 night stay: $124.76 US - Smoke cleaning charge: $300.00 US - 2 missing TV remotes: $40.00 US - 1 missing umbrella: $20.00 US Total charges: $484.76 US I checked in at 20:00 and checked out at 10:30. I do not smoke The false accusations of 2 missing TV remotes: $40.00 US 1 missing umbrella: $20.00 US. Total charges: $484.76 US

Dear Booking.com, I booked a property at Ocho Rios Vacation Resort Property Rentals 23rd October, to arrive 25th October 2025. I arrive at the property about 20:00 and as you know, there is a hurricane on the way to Jamaica, so it was raining heavily. I was shown to the property where I was presented with 2 poorly photocopied documents and told that I would need to complete and sign them. One document was an emergency contact and the other was an agreement of additional charges, which also required my card and my personal details. I had just arrived, it was late in the evening and I did not feel comfortable giving my card and personal details to anyone in this unsecure way. I asked if we could deal with the issue in the morning and the attendant said that the agreement of additional charges was the most important document, and she would have to call her manager to agree this. The attendant put the phone on loud speaker and the manager demanded that I sign the documents immediately. I started to feel stressed, but he continued to try and bully me for over an hour to sign the additional agreement, then finally he told me that I could not stay at the apartment unless I signed the documents. I feel that these documents should have been presented to me before I arrived at the property and not when I have no option but to sign them. I was also not given any time to understand what I was signing. I said I could not leave the property and my driver (who witnessed the entire conversation) talked with the manager explaining that I was exhausted and had nowhere to go that late at night, so he agreed that I could stay the night. I am now so stressed that I have asked my daughter to book alternative accommodation for me, which she did (please see attached) and I will be leaving the property this morning, Saturday 25th October. It is now 05:50 and I have been up all night because I have not been able to sleep. I came to Jamaica for my father’s funeral

The breakfast, each morning was a real delight. The staff offered a great mix of local and international option. From delicious Jamaica favorites like Ackee and selfish ,fried plantain and festival to freshly baked pastries. The coffee was rich and flavorful , and the staff always made sure everything was fresh and well presented.

The bathroom had ants all over. Not much lighting, check in process took extremely long due to the host being abroad. The bath tub was also very dirty.

We liked that the staff at Sandcastles helped in arranging a room for us, even though they were not responsible for our booking.

We arrived at the hotel, and our room was not available. We were told that there were issues, but no one came to explain to us what the issues were. We were waiting indefinitely for someone to come and explain to us/take us to another room. The communication was very poor and infrequent.

A great experience, our stay was comfortable, in a clean, modern room with plenty amenities. The pool is treated everyday which was both reassuring and inviting. Beach is awesome and clean, by now you know "clean" is important to me and my wife. The staff was curtious and helpful and the location is great with plenty restaurants, cafes and entertainment nearby. I definitely recommend this spot for vacation to anyone. I will certainly be back for more in the near future.

My balcony was cute but tiny. Two will fit but not four.
