Hostel - Guest House Meyman

The location of this hotel is close to the meeting place of the tour group I joined in Almaty, so I chose it! Although the hotel manager did not speak much English, there were warm-hearted people in the hotel to help us communicate. I like the hotel's public bathroom, clean and tidy, very satisfied!

Note: Host is okay and the house quite clean. The bed sheet will be given a new one once you enter the room including small towel. you have to read the review for the location if you cannot speak kazakh or russian.

Note: Apartment Building 153, 9th floor, house number is 33. As the owner cannot speak English, it quite difficult to ask her. Please take not that the house does not have air conditioner or fan. But the weather at night is okay if you open the window.

Location is perfect. Staff were very helpful and kind.

The bathroom needs repair, it was often flooded during my stay.

Good localization

There was no key to the double room! Reception lady said that if we want to go out she will close the door but don`t give the key to us. I am 100% sure when we were outside somebody where in our room. Take your own padlock to keep your stuff safe. In every room and common space where sign that administrator do not take responsibility for the stuff left in the hostel. The cushion were very old and dirty, i preferred sleep without it. Kitchen and bathroom were very dirty. There is no living room, in this room were drying room and there slept (probably) reception lady..

I love the lady host named Venera! She was very accommodating and tried her best to make me feel comfortable. The property is located within the apartment complex nearby the Abay Avenue. There is a bus station as well literally 150m from the property. You may navigate by using 2GIS map and you will find it easily. Once you arrived there, you need to find Apartment 153. Then, you can use the intercom by clicking 53. Someone from the property will answer you to open the door. The host is very responsive and she will let you know which floor. You may communicate via booking.com beforehand. They have a kitchen too!

The place is cleaned but some people are less hygienic. Cant complain much as I am choosing budget traveling but its comfortable enough. They have private rooms if you need more privacy.
