Dar Ben Gacem Kahia

I liked the premises of this accommodation (a former palace with collection of artworks) and the location of the accommodation in the beautiful medina of Tunisia's capital city Tunis - in the evening / sunset hours I liked the view from the rooftop terrace - The staff is really friendly and hospitable - My room was big and clean and well equipped - They offered to book me a reliable transfer to the airport (slightly on the expensive side) to be safe to be at the airport in time for check-in

Big room with amazing traditional decoration, rooftop terrace, and a library. Nice and helpful staff, very responsive. Tasty breakfast (especially the omelette). Very good location: around 10 min walk from the Medina on the beautiful rue de Pacha (where there is another, apparently even more luxurious Dar Ben Gacem by the same owners). Highly recommend for all those who want the experience the spirit of old Tunis.

We only stayed for one night but had a great time. The staff helped set up transportation from the airport for 15 EUR. When we arrived, we were shown to our room. The building is beautiful, especially the rooftop. Since we arrived late, they helped us get food. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom was overall clean. The breakfast was delicious!!

No tea kettle in room

1. The stuff was very kind and cooperative. 2. The hotel was clean, simple, semi-traditional. 3. Relaxing vibes in the hotel and in the outdoor roof terrace.

1. No car parking mentioned in the properties :( All hotels inside the old town "medina" don't have car parking. so you have to search for a parking outside the old city then go to hotel by walking. 2. Very expensive comparing to the value. 3. The main door is closed from inside manually, so you need someone to open the door every time you entering the hotel. 4. You can here the voices of next rooms. 5. No water kettle or iron machine in the rooms.
