Residencial Brigada

We had a clean room and especially liked the excellent breakfast. The host also rented us a jeep for two days, with which we could wonderfully discover the island.

Super nice little property in the city of Santo António. Carlos’s reception and assistance in arranging a motorcycle was amazing. Breakfast was varied every day with fresh fruit, juices, eggs, bacon was a lovely start to every morning. Carlos arranged a beautiful crab appetizer during the football match and we opted for dinner at the property twice which was delicious and filling both nights. Super grateful! obrigada por tudo!

Carlos, the person in charge of the accommodation, is fantastic. Always ready to help and caring to make sure you don't miss anything. There is the possibility to have lunch and dinner at the lodge, we only had dinner and we really recommend it. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful! The price-quality ratio is good, considering that Santo Tome and Principe is an expensive destination. The room is comfortable and we never lacked hot water. The site is located in Santo António. It is perfect if you want to go out and see the town, even without a car.

The residencial was ok, and the staff working/cooking there, very helpfull.

The room has humidity on the walls, which ia not healthy. During the nights, the bathroom was flood with water. The first days, velam water, but the lata night, we caem back to the room at 23h and the bathroom was flooded with what series to be urine. Smelled very very bad, from outeide the room, incide it was disgusting and impossible to stand. We called the owner, with did not even apologize for what was happening and he asked its staff to give ia anotarem room, which was not clean. It was a room from other clients who had lectivo that day. We had to make our own bed bringing the linen, from the precious smelling room. Our belongings that were in the flooded bathroom, were stinking and we had to fetch the in the next morning. It was a discusting experience and there was no compensation proposed by the owner. Not even washing our belongings.

To stay at Residencial Brigada for a week was a very special experience and it was truly amazing. Carlos and his Family are lovely people and they help you out with everything you need. He has a lot of connections on the island if you plan to do activities outside of the accommodation and he always has an open ear. The cook is very talented and you should really have him cook lunch or dinner for you. The breakfast is very delicious. All the meals are mainly done with local ingredients from their own small garden. If you want to stay at a family run place and experience the local life on Príncipe this is the place you should go to.
