Park Place Hotel

We stayed in the annex, our room was very dated. There were carpet stains, the seat of the desk chair was so worn and one evening we had no hot water. This a conference center as well, one of the days due to a conference, no parking was available on site. Avoid this hotel.

Top of the Park bar was closed to no staff. Bummer

A nice old hotel with a lot of charm and conveniently located just a couple blocks away from the beach.

The bathtub was broken and the room was in poor condition despite having spent $400 a night to stay there. Staff was helpful, but will probably stay elsewhere next time due to condition of the room.

Charged us $1,600 for two nights to stick us in an ADA ROOM without telling us. Extremely shady business practice and horrific experience. I felt like I was staying in a refurbished vintage hospital room and the carpet in the hall smelled like dirty, musty feet. Save your money and go to a cute airbnb close by. The restaurant in the hotel serves low rate diner food.

How to start? Elevators broken and slow (waiting long time for elevator to arrive or finally giving up and walking up and down stairs), large stain on carpet in our bedroom, general poorly cleaned common areas, forgot to clean our room one day, cleaned room very late next day due to “short staff”, messed up our return transportation to the airport due to “employee error” and then promised a taxi paid for by them but driver then asked for payment from us at the airport. On hold EVERY time you try to reach the front desk (even when calling from your room), the last time for 29 minutes. Asked for manager and front desk person says she is the only person available. Have to describe once again the taxi payment situation. While she was pleasant, the long wait on hold and the need to ask for a refund of our cab fare was infuriating. Mind you, the room cost was $550/night. Don’t count on anything from this place other than good location.

The room was dirty and stains on the carpet…said updated looked run down.

Overall, the Park Place Hotel was a nice hotel in a great location. We were greeted in a friendly and helpful manner upon check in, and were even given a room well before the 4:00 pm check in time. The hotel could use a little updating as far as carpet and cleanliness. The AC blew damp air into our room, but we had a nice stay and would return.

Our stay was only two nights. The hotel was well maintained, location is only two blocks from the lake, near several other hotels and restaurants.
