The hotel and staff are lovely. We dont stay long enough to enjoy all of the resort amenities (just the night before a cruise) but parking is a nightmare. It used to be free but now its over $20/night AND there are no restrictions from the restaurant diners taking up all the spaces. You can see them park and walk to the Rainforest Cafe right next door. We drove around for 20 minutes waiting on a spot to open and there was no way we were driving anywhere to dinner after that so we walked over a mile away. Good luck parking is all I can say!

Special recognition goes out to maintenance super-man, Andre, for keeping me and my wife from turning into popsicles. Thermostat was unresponsive and stuck on high fan and cold, but Andre was able to rectify the matter in a manner of minutes and now all is working. Thanks Andre!

The hotel was fine. But BEWARE!!Hilton wants you to use their app for everything and makes it hard to do anything without it. GETTING THEIR APP REQUIRED ME TO GIVE THEM MY APPLE ID AND APPLE PASSWORD. (which I refused to do). It’s not downloading from the Apple App Store, but from their site. IF YOU DO THIS, you give them access to everything on your Apple devices - bank info, Apple Pay, communications, backups, bank information and EVERYTHING else on your Apple devices. Don’t believe me? Make a reservation and follow the link to their app that they send you. These ravenous corporate @$$h0!3$ want every shred of your private information.

I stayed at the Hilton Galveston Island Resort from April 16–18 and had a very disappointing experience. Upon check-in, the air conditioning unit in our room was extremely loud. We assumed it might quiet down overnight, but the noise continued nonstop and made it very difficult to sleep. It was honestly one of the most uncomfortable hotel experiences I’ve had due to the constant AC noise. The next morning, my husband requested that the unit be checked, but no one ever came to address the issue. After a second night of poor sleep, we decided to check out early, even though we had originally booked a three-night stay. We explained the situation to the front desk, and while they apologized, no meaningful resolution was offered at the time aside from waiving an additional breakfast charge. What has been even more frustrating is what followed. Despite checking out after two nights due to the unresolved issue, we were charged for all three nights. We’ve now spent nearly two weeks going back and forth with the hotel and Hilton customer service to correct this, and the charge still has not been adjusted. To be fair, the property itself is in a great location right by the beach, and the hotel is visually appealing. However, the outdated and excessively noisy air conditioning system—and the lack of timely maintenance support—completely undermined our stay. At this point, I am simply requesting a refund for the night we did not stay. I hope management takes this seriously and resolves it promptly, as this experience has been both disappointing and exhausting.
