The location

We had stayed at this hotel years ago and loved it. This time we did not. The decor was nothing like before and quite bland, boring. No art work on the walls in lobby or in our room. Needed someplace to sit and look at something other than black wall. The lighting was an issue for us. Light by the door kept going off in the night. Itโ€™s a motion detector but no one was up moving. I in formed the staff of this. They sent someone up who said they had no idea why it was doing that. The second night my son put a sticker over motor detector. That fixed it. The the motion detector on light in bathroom would shut the light off when you were in shower and it would be pitch black.

"Not as good as the Kimpton in London"

Bed very comfortable. Coffee machine and kettle in room. Loads of channels on TV (which was good as I have a leg that sometimes plays up and I am stuck in the room). Easy to get to central Seattle for tours.

Difficult to find as the outside had scaffolding so it did not look like a hotel. Construction going on while I was there, so restaurant restricted in opening. My room only had one narrow thin window. Same brand as the hotel I stayed in in London, but worlds apart in luxury and experience.

Everything but the check in.

Not efficient getting people checked in early. Didnโ€™t seem to allow it or consider it. Then everyone was checking in at the same time and there was a backup. Backup at the counter and a backup getting luggage .
