"Comfortable & relaxing in the heart of town."

Although clearly an old building it has been decorated in a fairly modern style and is well maintained. Andy is a marvellous host, attentive without being constantly asking you if everything is ok. The accommodation though compact was very comfortable and had everything I needed for a comfortable weekend.

"Lovely, homely stay"

Exceptional King Room. Very large and beautifully furnished. Better than most of the ones we have stayed at, including the bigger hotel chains. Host is incredibly friendly and helpful. Location is ideal for all the facilities in Ambleside and also for the bus station to travel around the lakes.

"Friendly, good value central B&B."

Clean. Central. Friendly staff. Hot weather but a fan was provided. Andy very helpful. Nice touches, like recycling bin and water provided. Good hearty breakfast for days walking or swimming or whatever. Very near central bus stop and lots of great eating places.
