Loews Kansas City

The Loews hotel Cancelled my room. I was there with my family for an event and had been at the event all day. We went to the hotel at 10 pm to check in and they gave our room away. They did not call us to see if we were not coming. This is the worst service I have received at a hotel and I frequently travel. We had the room booked 6 months in advance. Very disappointed in the hotel and the very dismissive attitude of the staff.

The rooms were clean and staff were quick and welcoming. The security was nice and made me feel safe in most regards.

I know it's unavoidable but I'd prefer to not have long black hairs on my pillows back side and the dust in the main lobby window. I enjoy a clean stay even though I can be picky.

We chose to eat out every morning and try new places; we were glad to do that. The pool was great for my kids. Gym was very clean and the view was worth staying at the hotel.

Dining wasn't inviting for families with kids. It seemed like it was catering to people with no kids. We just got snacks.

Nicest hotel in Kansas City, and the location is perfect. We enjoyed our stay immensely, and look forward to the next time. Everyone from the front desk to the valet were top notch, with a special mention to the amazing servers at Stillwell bar. The beds were extremely comfortable, clean with fluffy, comfy comforters. It sounds like a little thing, but we sure appreciated the empty fridge and free bottles of water. Nice bathroom with all the amenities and incredible views. The rooms are lacking a little in soundproofing so bring ear plugs....and I don't think registered guests should have to pay $45 for valet parking...but that's just my opinion. **Please note, 1587 Prime is located in the hotel but not part of Loews. What that means is that it will not honor hotel food credits nor can you charge to the room. We were surprised to find our $100 food credit could not be applied. This is the fault of Loew's and not the restaurant, as Loews won't reimburse them.

Clean upscale hotel with nice restaurant and breakfast place in the facilities! Stayed here many times!

Parking spaces are small and the extra $33 to use the garage is expensive. Should be included in room price and be free. There is no street parking close.

I did not have breakfast; however, lunch and the service were very good.

I wish the hotel had a car or shuttle to provide guests transportation within a mile or two. My husband and I attended an event at the Kauffman on Saturday night. The walk up the hill from the hotel (in heels) to get to the performance was treacherous, especially in formal wear. Finding the business center was a bit frustrating. It wasn't clearly marked and I anticipated guests would have 24 hrs. access. When I finally found the UPS store, it was closed. I needed to print documents and had to wait for them to open only to discover that I would the have to email the document and wait to have them print them.
