The Salem Inn

The breakfast was good, well organized, lovely European feel in the room. Our first room smelled really funny and had access to the back parking lot (which we didn't like) and we didnt feel like we could tolerate it for a couple nights and fortunately they accompanied us by switching to a different room. It was odd to not have easy access to an iron and ironing board but the staff was on it and got us a board to use. We found the irons. We understand this is the difference while staying in a historic home. The staff was great!

The bed was not very comfortable. It was stressful being concerned about an iron and ironing board. We had to go to a wedding and flew so everything really needed ironing. They did take care of us though by finding a board.

The location is steps away from the Ropes Mansion and just a few more steps from The Witch House. Parking for the Curwen House is free and directly behind the building. Super spacious room!

Carrying luggage up 3 flights of narrow stairs in the Curwen House was dangerous and stressful! Please, for the love of a good sleep, put blackout curtains on the windows!! Being awoken at 5AM because the entire room is flooded with bright light definitely falls under the category of “a rude awakening”! The breakfast was meh.

We loved our time in The Peabody House at The Salem Inn and would definitely stay again! The reserved breakfast every morning was very convenient, and our room was just beautiful! Perfect location as well!
