The Salem Inn

The place is beautiful and gives you that victorian type feel. It was comfortable and check in/out was easy. The location was perfect for a stay in Salem. My fiance loved it. Our only issue was another guest smoking which was not the fault of the hotel, and they did everything they could to make it right. I 100% loved the place and would stay there again. Also the jacuzzi tub was great for relaxation after a lot of walking.

Rooms are large and spacious..beautiful. bathroom was u expectantly large. Loved the large soaker tub.

Room was on the 3rd floor with narrow stairwells

The room was gorgeous and everything was super cozy.

It was the perfect location to see the Salem

Very quaint and excellent location

The breakfast was excellent. We had omelets cooked to order, juice, coffee, sausage links and cinnamon raisin toast. The room was large and clean. There was a large shower in the bathroom.

The inn was on a busy street, so there was some road noise, but I do not know whether anything could have been done to fix the problem. There were old fashioned storm shutters on the inside of the windows, which might have reduced the noise, but these hadn't been used in years and couldn't be closed on account of paint on the hinges.

Lovely and quaint. Charming combination of hotel and B&B. Main draw back is no secure luggage storage before check-in or after checkout. So if you have time on your hands on either side of your stay (and no car trunk) you have to drag your luggage with you. Also there was no in room safe. So again you have to kerp all your valuable and meds you can't afford to lose with you while you tour, hike, sail ect.
