"An Overly Expensive Hotel in a Good Area"

I have stayed at two of the biggest hotel chains in the world during the last week: Marriott in Gent and Hilton in Antwerp. Where the people at Marriott were personable and my room was new, the Hilton people were textbook polite, and the slightly worn out room was not worth the absurd price of 300 euros. I don’t think I ever experienced a first class hotel that doesn’t even offer a free bottle of water. The amenities were two small bottles for 4 euros a piece. In a room that costs 300 Euros. Thanks for the generosity, Hilton. Are we supposed to pay extra for toilet paper as well? But this hotel wasn’t bad, just so so. It’s a business hotel with a huge billboard by the entrance that makes you think this is a corporate building, not a hotel, which turned out to be a bit symbolic.
