Red Roof Inn Columbus - Taylorsville

This was an anniversary weekend so we reserved the room with the hot tub. We arrived an hour after check in starts and were rudely told to wait at least 15 minutes more because they were still cleaning the room. We were tired but waited about 20 -25 to be safe. Walking into the bathroom we noticed a multitude of disappointing concerns in this room. Both exhaust fans and light over the hotub were hanging down lose from the ceiling and when turned on they would tick loudly. We turned the water on for the hottub and it was a very small trickle and took over 20 minutes to get warm. The jet control knobs are dirty or discolored(looks like mold to me specifically). The bed was amazingly comfortable as were the two chairs but the overall experience was disappointing and quite honestly not worth the money spent.

Great stop for what I needed. A small update in the bath hardware and bathroom fan would go a long way.

Nothing was unique. Couldn't charge my phone. Noisy, had to get a room that wasn't apart of the main hotel. Looked like it was run down.

The room was clean. We had no hot water in the shower. It was ice cold. Even though we had the A/C set at 66 degrees it never cooled off in the room. Very hot.

I stayed in room 103 very clean. Smelled wonderful. The bed sheets smelled clean. Microwave and the refrigerator were very clean. Thank you for that that means alot. Owners are very nice people.

The property needs some major work done to it . That being said. There are renovations currently underway during daytime hours as far as cleanliness goes the room was good but the shower was a little sub par other than that the stay was alright but certainly not worth the price.

So for starters this room smelled as if its been smoked in. The toilet wasnt properly cleaned, had to clean it myself so my child could use the bathroom. Also as seen in the pic, i had to use a towel to clog the tub to run some water just to bathe my daughter. By my being a bigger guy i couldnt even shower or take a bath. The shower wasnt working and the tub drain was broke. Management wasnt helpful at all. Told the manager and he just shrugged it off. I WOULD NOT REFER ANY ONE HERE!!!!

Great place to stay

The room was filthy, tub was dirty, shower head head wasnt attached, spilled a little sprite & when i soaked it up with the white towel, it come up black. I had what was suppose to be a clean towel but it was covered in stained grime. I watched the housekeeping staff clean a room next to me when before checking out. They did not mop the bare floor, they didnt have a vaccum & they only washed towels & washclothes, no sheets, no blankets!!! Whatever happened to hardworking Americans owning & running these establishments???

A dump I will never return The phone in my room (118) had crud all over it The tv remote was sticky, had to wash my hard after just touching it which meant no tv watching But worse of all was even with my door locked I still saw light coming in Could have easily been pried open
