Capetonian Hotel

Upon arrival at reception, we were disappointed with the overall experience. I'm not sure whether the staff on duty were part of a training team, but there appeared to be a lack of professionalism and customer engagement. The young lady who assisted us did not make eye contact during our interaction and was not presented in a manner that reflected a front-of-house reception role. I understand that this is not a five-star hotel; however, excellent service and professional staff presentation should be a standard regardless of star grading. We were accommodated in Room 602, and unfortunately, the mattress is in urgent need of replacement. It was noticeably worn and impacted our comfort during our stay. On a positive note, the buffet was excellent as always. The restaurant staff were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and professional. They continue to be one of the reasons we enjoy returning to The Capetonian. Our main concern was the reception experience, particularly the lack of room keys and the apparent inability to effectively engage and reassure guests while under pressure. We hope these issues can be addressed, as we would like to continue supporting and enjoying your establishment.

Nice place. Great for Muslim tourists. Excellent location. Staff were overall nice. I recommend getting a deluxe room but the standards are a bit on the older side.

Their breakfast was delicious. There was variety of food from cold to hot breakfast.
