The Baymont by Wyndham Marion exceeded my expectations. My mom and I were driving through Illinois and needed a place to stay overnight. We booked the hotel an hour in advance, and we just needed an affordable place to stay. This hotel is such a gem! The staff was friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the shampoos/soaps in the bathroom smelled amazing! Plus, we were within walking distance to a really nice restaurant. Overall, it was a great stay.

I wish the continental breakfast had a little more variety. There weren't many high-protein options. Even hard-boiled eggs would have been nice.

The paint was peeling in the ceiling of the shower and there was signs of mold around the bottom of the shower. Breakfast could have been a little better than cereal and a waffle maker

Big spacious room

The front desk staff was rude. My husband had issues when first checking in and every single encounter there was never a smile or welcoming feeling from them. They do not look happy with their job. Pool was not heated. We figured with an indoor pool we could at least swim but it was not heated and ac was going in building on top of it.
