Cambridge Suites Hotel Halifax

This is our first time to book in this hotel, the atmosphere is nice as well the service. Hotel room is relaxing and clean. Staffs are friendly and approachable. Thank you to Ms Joyce for accommodating us. Breakfast is good and complete meal. It is awesome experience for this hotel. Love this hotel

Close to everything, private parking, comfortable bed, clean (extra paid 25 CAD per night)

The parking gate is incredibly difficult to get to open. Although there is a sign saying to approach slowly, it often doesn’t open at all. On one occasion, I had to wait for another car to exit so I could get in. Another time, a different car in front of me experienced the same problem. The hotel is a bit run-down, and the facilities look old and dated. There is very little ventilation in the rooms because the small window only opens slightly. In addition, the housekeeping staff sprays a chemical air freshener each time they clean the room, which makes the room feel even more stuffy. The receptionist was somewhat difficult to deal with, especially when we asked for something out of the ordinary, such as an HDMI cable to connect a laptop to the TV.

Four of us stayed here recently for two nights. We were pleasantly greeted by Joyce upon our arrival. One room was ready however the second one wasn’t so we were checked in promptly by Joyce and she said she would text us when the other room would be ready. The rooms were clean, roomy and had a small area equipped with glasses, coffee maker, mini fridge, etc. Breakfast was also included and the women working there were very pleasant and kept the place immaculate. Great job ladies! The location is walking distance to a variety of restaurants, the pier, casino, etc. Check out was quick and seamless and we luckily had the pleasure of having Joyce check us out. Thanks for the great and friendly service.

Location was great. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Shout out to Eddie at the front desk who got us into a King Suite room! Atmosphere was unfortunately not great overnight. A few guests in nearby rooms were VERY loud in the evening and overnight. We called the front desk after a while around 1am, but there didn’t seem to be any prompt response. Overall the hotel was a good value and we would go back. Can’t blame the hotel for the bad hotel guest in other rooms.
