Cambridge Suites Hotel Halifax

Location.

Great location in the city and a warm welcome by staff. However, as soon as we got out of the lift, we became aware that our room was next door to a couple having a very loud argument, so we made Reception aware. We had just arrived after a long flight so please be considerate to others guests and save your arguments for home!! A staff member went up to check and we were immediately moved to another floor to a great suite, totally unexpected. Really appreciate what the staff did for us. Breakfast was a great selection of items and drinks. Hotel is easy walking to the waterfront, the parks and everything Halifax has to offer.

Did not like paying extra for parking

We arrived in the teeth of a howling wind and were given such a warm welcome by Akshay, we knew we had made the right decision. We had a great room on the 6th floor with a partial view of the ocean. Room was very clean, breakfast was good ; the excellent staff in the breakfast room was constantly cleaning tables and refreshing items. Liked the all-day tea and coffeein the lobby. Hotel is close to a liquor store by the Rogers Centre, the Citadel and amazing public gardens and down the hill, The Olde Triangle pub and waterfront. Would have liked some more items in the kitchen in our room like a bowl, cheese grater and colander. Also the stairs to the hot tub were difficult for my husband to manage.

Really great central location with several amazing food joints right around the corner. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us during our stay and make sure we had a good time. Room was nice and clean with a pretty solid view of the waterfront and sunrise.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel in Halifax. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The service was excellent, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I would especially like to thank Kathy at the reception. She was very kind, professional, and welcoming. She also helped us with useful suggestions about things to do in Halifax and places to eat, which made our visit easier and more enjoyable. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Halifax.

Thank you to Christine Seo and Akshay Shakhia for their assistance in getting us a better sized bed. It was a surprise to discover their queen size beds are not the same as queen beds I am used to. As we have a king at home the prospect of a bed that was what I consider a double (about 54" wide vs the 60" I was expecting) they said that they have had other guests say the same thing but were told by experts that they are queen. While I will never make the mistake of booking a "queen size" with them again I was very pleased how the two I mentioned above handled our disappointment.

WOW, what a welcome at Cambridge Suites Halifax! From the moment I called a few days ago to say our flight had been cancelled by Air Canada and rebooked to arrive much earlier, I requested an early check-in. Reservation Agent SIM was so helpful. Though she could not guarantee an early check-in, she said she was 99.9% hopeful that we would be able to check-in early. 😀 Then, when my wife and I actually arrived, Reception Hosts JOYCE & CHRISTINE welcomed us with such warm smiles and assistance. JOYCE let us know that our rooms were indeed ready for an early check-in. When she gave us our room cards. CHRISTINE also gave me 2 chocolate bars, and a handwritten note from SIM welcoming us to Cambridge Suites! Talk about a nice touch…very impressive. Though raining outside, when we got to our room and saw the beautiful harbour view, we were most impressed. Thank you SIM, JOYCE & CHRISTINE for representing Cambridge Suites Halifax so well! We look forward to discovering Halifax from Cambridge Suites!
